Gary started painting 6 years ago with classes at Crealde with Terry Norris as his first teacher). He has since taken a number of classes and workshops and now specializes in representational landscapes and "old Master" still life. Gary’s goal was to get good enough to be able to show at an art festival...a goal he readily accomplished as he has been accepted and participated in over 30 shows the last few years, and has won awards, and thus far this year, has been accepted to the Maitland Art Festival, the Ocala Fine Arts Festival, and Heathrow Arts Festival. Diana was born in Germany and has traveled extensively. A keen observer of life, her paintings are witness to the world she has traveled both externally and internally. With a degree in Art from Stetson University, she has won numerous awards for her highly individualistic images and participates in many local and national exhibitions. Her work ranges from whimsical to enigmatic portrayals of the human experience. Her wish is that her paintings relate in some small way to what humanity feels and experiences on many different levels as we all search for the meaning of our life journey.

From a series of burlesque era two marionettes that Anita found and photographed in an Ormond Beach Antique Shop. Anita Vrionides has just retired after 39 years of teaching elementary art in the public schools. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and her Master of Education degree from Stetson University in Deland, FL. Anita’s hand painted photographs were created in her home darkroom and painted with oils.

“As an artist, I’m given the unique opportunity to speak to many people from my own perspective. I strive to communicate on universal levels, wanting to transcend language, time and culture. My goal is to create works of art of intimate every day scenes that touch the common thread which runs through each of us.” Berto knew at any early age he was born to paint. His persistent pre-occupation with painting people and nature landed him a scholarship with New England portraitist, Stacy Netherland when he was 8 years old. He has studied and painted throughout the United States and is now an Instructor at Crealdé School of Art.

The fiber art pieces Hye creates are not traditional images of landscape as seen from the external environment. They are atmospheric, abstract images mainly focused on expressing a sense of place, or a mood or feeling. This photograph is part of a 17 year documentary project on signs in the back roads of the south, Recently exhibited at the Naples Museum of Art. Rick is known as a photographer, educator and curator. His photographic work has been exhibited throughout the Eastern United States, including solo exhibitions at Middle Tennessee State University and The Center for the Study of Southern Culture at The University of Mississippi. Betty’s work is widely exhibited and collected. Well known for abstraction, she traveled to Italy in 2007 to do more representational work. Betty will be a featured artist in the Biannual Southeast Photography Invitational at Crealdé in early 2011.
Patricia Ezzard - “Sunflower Gaze” oil, 20” X 16”
Patricia Ezzard holds a B.F.A. in Design from Syracuse University. She is currently a Fellow in the Drawing and Painting Department at Crealde School of Art. In 2010 she exhibited two paintings in the Crealde School of Art 30th Annual Juried Student Exhibition and received a 3rd Place Award in painting.
Anita Cohen - “Vincent’s Chair” mixed media - 10” X 13”
Anita is an artist in Central Florida, Fellow at Crealdé, and an art teacher who gets inspiration from anything around me or in nature. She has always been fascinated with Vincent van Gogh and painted the chair in his, Bedroom in Arles, then used it in this collage.
